3 10 NOBLE MAN (CC099) W M Lai -- Soon taken back to trail the field from a wide draw, produced good late finish down centre of straight but never threatening.
4 11 NORMAN INVADER (CJ231) M Chadwick TT Began moderately, travelled in rear of midfield down far side, took slightly closer order about 500 M out, produced modest late impression to reach 4th near the line.
5 2 ISLAND SPEED (CG202) K C Leung B/TT Began fairly , soon taken back to forward of midfield but wide without cover throughout far side and around the bend when gaining closer order, one-paced under pressure in the run home.
6 7 DIAMOND BRILLIANCE (CH002) C W Wong TT Broke well, settled two back on rails, similar turning for home, found nothing.
7 1 MY HOME TOWN (CH331) B Doyle -- Began restrained from the widest barrier settling in last few on rails, slightly closer up coming out of far side, saved ground turning for home, kept on same pace without quickening.
8 9 PLAN B (CJ123) M L Yeung TT Slightly slow out, soon picked up to midfield on rails, similar turning in, made short-lived effort after straightening, soon faded.
9 4 MI REILLY (CJ199) D Whyte -- Settled mainly 3-wide in midfield, wider turning for home, made no impression in straight, faded out tamely. (Performance questioned.)
10 12 GOOD TO GO (CH096) W C Marwing B/TT Slightly slow out, always well behind travelling 3-wide most of way, made no response under pressure in straight.
11 3 DOUBLE LUCK (CH239) H W Lai -- Settled towards rear, remained in last few around the bend, wide into straight, ran home one-paced.
PU 6 SUPERIOR UNIT (CJ045) Y T Cheng B/TT Prominent in 3rd, not much worse in 4th when dropped away quickly about 500 M out. (Stewards reported horse to have been struck into and badly unbalanced. (Lame next day.)
