2 AMBITIOUS OWNER (CJ106) K C Leung B/XB/TT 2Ls back in 3rd at halfway, progressed to lead 200 M out and all out to hang onto the win.
12 BRAVE SPIRIT (CJ258) M Chadwick CP2/TT 3-wide no cover down back straight when 3Ls back in 4th and same on straightening, stayed on well and just missed out, better over further.
14 SEIZE THE DAY (CJ152) T H So B Soon led on fence and 1L clear until straightening, headed around 200 M out and lost 2nd close home.
10 SPARKLING (CK149) K T Yeung B- 4-back the fence 6Ls behind early pace and only marginally closer spinning for home, responded well to pressure, nearest at the finish. (Tactic questioned.)
5 KING OF HEARTS (CK214) D Beadman XB/H Over-raced a little down back straight in midfield, with 4Ls to make up off last corner, made up a little late ground but no genuine threat.
4 MY WAY (CJ203) W C Marwing B Not travelling well early on in rear, 8Ls last at halfway, 6Ls adrift turning for home, recovered good late ground when the race was over. (Tactic questioned.)
1 KING FAY FAY (CH089) Z Purton -- 4Ls back in 5th at halfway and same margin back in 6th turning for home, kept on at the same speed.
3 GREAT SUPREME (CJ027) Y T Cheng -- Enjoyed a cushy trip in 2nd on fence and 1L off pace through to last turn, no excuse for picking up better after that soft run.
13 ACCELERATOR (CG179) M Du Plessis -- 3-back the rails about 4Ls off pace at halfway, 3Ls down turning for home, couldn't get any closer.
6 GOOD TIME CHARLIE (CJ207) W M Lai P/H/TT Went back from widest gate, at least 6Ls off pace out wide through to final bend, very one-paced.
11 BE MY SONG (CH272) S K Sit B-/H Didn't press forward as is often the case, worse than midfield throughout at least 5Ls from the speed, no danger. (Tactic questioned.)
7 SURE GOOD (CJ240) J Winks B 4-back the fence and 5Ls off speed through to final bend, never likely to make an impact.
9 WINNING PAL (CJ138) C K Tong CP1/TT Always one from the rear at least 6Ls from the front, never a factor.
8 GOSHAWK (CK144) J Lloyd -- Always rearward at least 7Ls from the speed.
