5 5 AMBITIOUS GENERAL (CJ066) W Pike XB Patiently held up in last, 7Ls behind going into the final turn, taken wide to challenge in straight, stayed on relentlessly from over 200 M out, never nearer.
6 6 QUICK TOUCH (CJ196) D Whyte TT Restrained to a 2-wide position towards the back, had 5Ls to make up entering the straight, into clear 300 M and progressed steadily to 50 M, drifted in over the final stages.
7 3 INTERCHINA STAR (CJ226) M L Yeung TT Unable to shift in from a wide barrier and was forced wide and without cover in the chasing pack throughout, found disappointingly little when asked in straight, weakened close home.
8 4 SILVER SUN (CE126) O Doleuze -- Restrained after the start and was shuffled back to midfield gradually, under serious pressure passing 400 M and kept on at the one pace. (Jockey questioned re riding position.)
9 10 REAL SPECIAL (CH320) G Cheyne -- Dropped back to 2nd last about 5Ls behind leader, pressed on inside 350 M but unable to quicken from off the pace. No impression.
10 2 WATCH WHAT HAPPENS (CH145) W C Marwing -- Parked 3-wide in midfield, proved difficult to settle in early and middle stages, no response inside 350 M, soon out of contention.
11 7 DORDENMA (CE333) B Prebble -- Lost ground at the start, along the fence never better than midfield, under pressure inside 400 M, soon eased on straightening. (Jockey questioned.)
