2 13 BROM BROM (CJ338) B Prebble -- Fair to begin, settled not far away behind early speed 4Ls or so back, enjoyed easy time mid-section, had good trail in, couldn't match powerful finish of winner final 150 M.
3 12 AMBITIOUS GENERAL (CJ066) W Pike XB- Faded back from a wide alley, settled at rear more than 12Ls off speed, enough pace on, still had plenty to do from bend, came widest and made plenty of progress in straight.
4 3 BULLISH CASH (CH049) K C Leung TT No speed as usual, back with last few 12Ls or so from top end, had pace to suit, set a task same margin down leaving bend, produced usual honest finish.
5 1 BEST FRIEND (CH240) D Whyte B Even jump, assumed a midfield position, raced 5 to 6Ls back in midfield, no excuses in run, improved into race on bend, raced in restricted room for best part of straight and not able to be fully tested.
6 6 DANESIS (CH194) W C Marwing TT Rolled forward to take usual role in front, set a genuine tempo with pressure from outside horse, held a 1L lead turning, overhauled inside 250 M, plugged away.
7 9 NATURAL NINE (CG087) G Mosse XB Average jump, 7Ls or so from leaders, had a fair run, didn't let down in straight. (Bled on 3rd occasion.)
8 10 VIGOR DELIGHT (CK070) J Winks H Began nicely, raced prominently in spot behind leader, had a fair run despite a solid speed, loomed on straightening and hit lead briefly at 200 M, faded last bit.
9 5 FULL OF JOY (CG293) Z Purton -- Jumped with first few, ended up 3 to 4Ls away on rails, enjoyed a soft run throughout, close enough on turning, found little at business end.
10 14 PRINCE KALAMOUN (CK178) G Cheyne CP Only moderate to begin, ended up in midfield 6Ls from lead, used nothing in run, saved ground on bend, didn't find in straight.
11 11 QUICK TOUCH (CJ196) W M Lai TT Amongst pace group early, sat 2Ls or so behind decent tempo, there to bend, lacked customary finish and gradually faded.
12 7 FEARLESS (CH301) O Doleuze B No early speed 8 to 9Ls off leaders on rails, even run in mid-section, one paced at finish making no serious progress.
13 8 JOYFUL WINNER (CE045) Y T Cheng -- Average jump as usual, easy time 7Ls or so, had every hope to bend, didn't see out trip.
14 2 ROMA PEGASUS (CK115) M Chadwick TT Amongst first to hit ground, rolled forward to challenge leader, applied pressure for a genuine tempo throughout, stopped soon after turning in.
