5 1 FRIENDLY GAINS (CG300) D Whyte -- Not far off in 4th or 5th, similar turning in, improved steadily to draw level over 100 M out, found no extra near finish.
6 3 HOLI RAVIOLI (CG201) W Pike -- Not far off early travelling in 2L 4th down far side, shuffled back to some 3Ls off the lead around the bend, kept on steadily without quickening in straight. (Questioned.)
7 2 SUNNY GOLF (CH138) K C Leung XB/TT Broke well from the widest barrier, gradually moved up to travel outside leader, held every chance into straight but unable to sustain effort inside final 200 M.
8 4 ULTRA FANTASY (CG311) J Winks B/TT Ridden along to gain prominent spot early on, in similar one-back position turning in, kept on same pace without quickening inside final 200 M.
9 6 OCEAN WIDE (CJ132) A Gryder B-/H Soon took up running and held rails run, led until headed under pressure inside final 200 M, faded quickly out of contention.
10 8 MI REILLY (CJ199) O Doleuze -- Settled just worse than midfield racing wide throughout, widest turning for home, fought on under pressure before bumped and tightened 100 M out, no late recovery.
11 12 CONFUCIUS CLASSIC (CJ141) J Victoire TT Soon taken well back to trail the field to straight, responding well when badly held up inside final 100 M. (Not tested.)
12 9 POT OF GOLD (CJ286) K L Chui TT With leaders when checked and lost position 1000 M out, travelled 3-wide in forward of midfield to straight, gradually weakened.
