1 FLYING BLUE (CL389) D Whyte -- Began well, posted 3 wide outside leaders without cover, aided by steady tempo, went to front easily at 300m and fought bravely to defy late challengers for another solid win.
8 HOT SHOT (CL289) M L Yeung TT Out nicely, assumed ideal spot behind leader, travelled well throughout, saved ground turning and kept finding to be right in mix, edged out late.
5 DESTINED FOR GLORY (M207) D Beadman SR/H No early speed and settled at rear, 5-6Ls away on rails throughout, kept improving position turning and stoked up when in clear from 250m, flew late and unlucky not to be closer.
2 STRAIGHT FORWARD (CL100) G Mosse TT Faded back from an awkward draw, raced 3 wide just off midfield, had cover 5ls back on circle, didn't dash but worked home well to make frame.
4 SOARING DRAGON (CH183) G Cheyne B/TT Rolled forward and sat outside the leader, even run with the absence of any real speed, right there in mix turning but couldn't lift last 250m, battled on late.
11 BEAUTY FOREVER (CK074) C K Tong B/TT Ideally positioned 1 out 1 back, had all favours 3Ls away and aided by speed, one paced in straight.
7 CHEER (CL277) K H Yu TT Settled behind midfield as usual, back with last few 2 wide 6Ls of so away, well back to bend, lost whip at 350m but still made some minor ground all the same.
13 NORTH HILL (CJ082) W M Lai -- Settled 3 wide in midfield, had cover 3Ls or so back tracking eventual winner, fair run to turn, switched wider turning but couldn't offer much and dropped off late.
12 BUSINESS AS USUAL (M057) W C Marwing H Taken back soon after start to take spot on rails, next to last on rails on circle, overaced and angled wider and came 4 wide turning, no extra in straight.
9 INTERCHINA STAR (CJ226) C W Wong TT Ended up taking a midfield role, fair trip 4Ls off them to bend, struggled in run to line.
10 IRON FIST (CH143) H W Lai TT Worked a bit to cross them, steadied tempo once there, headed soon after turning in and folded tamely.
3 MARK UP (CK247) B Prebble B2 No early pace, raced behind midfield, 4-5Ls back throughout but proved difficult to settle, niggled on turn and lacked usual response, ordinary in run to line.
6 TRES MAGNIFIQUE (CL367) Z Purton SR1/TT1 Out in line, situated midfield 3-4Ls back, easy trip but under substantial pressure on bend, folded easily and beaten a long way.
