10 FUN HEROES (L207) B Prebble SR-/B/TT- Slotted into midfield spot 6ls or so back in running line, aided by strong tempo, began improving approaching bend, finished strongly down centre to gain advantage and survive late challenge.
2 FULFIL A WISH (L235) Z Purton -- Out with them, took ideal position on leaders back, right on strong speed to bend, no clear run until 150m, dashed strongly late when clear and was unlucky not to score.
1 CITY POWER (M066) P Strydom B/SR Away smartly, raced in a prominent spot outside leader, did share of work with speed on throughout, kept giving and there to 150m but could not match dash of top pair late.
8 CROWN WITNESS (M013) M Chadwick TT Showed usual speed to take up running, set a strong speed in front, had them chasing at 400m, stuck on well when headed inside 200m to narrowly miss place.
7 COSTA DEL SOL (M111) D Whyte -- Slotted into perfect position 1 out 1 back, all favours in run, struggled to dash from 400m, kept on solidly in run to line just missing frame.
11 ELEPHANT CHEERS (M247) W M Lai -- Drifted back from a wide gate, 10Ls or so away on rails, aided by strong tempo, closed well in straight to be nearest on line.
5 SURVEY SURVEY (CH070) O Doleuze XB/TT Ended up behind midfield 8Ls back in running line, had fair run with pace on, switched out and made even progress without threatening.
3 MASTER GUNNER (CJ142) D Beadman SR/XB No early pace, settled behind midfield on rails, 6-7Ls back, suited by solid tempo, closed gradually in straight but couldn’t get nearer final 200m.
9 FIONN'S DRAGON (L046) H W Lai TT Assumed usual role towards rear, 8Ls or so away in running line, assisted by strong tempo, still well back turning, came widest and made some ground but set too big a task.
6 FOREST STAR (CJ167) J Lloyd TT Little speed early and ended up back with last few, more than 12Ls back in middle stages, speed on helped but gave too much start, saved ground in straight making late headway.
12 CARS KING PRAWN (CK348) M Du Plessis V- Took up a decent position 4Ls or so back in 6th place, raced 2 wide to bend, no extra when pressure applied and weakened out tamely.
14 CHAMPION MOUNT (CK087) K C Leung CP/TT Missed the start and lost ground, settled at rear, more that 12Ls off leaders in mid section, aided by fast tempo, made no impression in straight.
13 SUNSEEKER (L161) C K Tong TT Settled well back from widest alley, 11Ls of so from top end, helped by speed, made a brief effort coming wider on turn but made no real impact.
4 LOADS OF JOY (L088) G Cheyne TT Positioned just off pace group, 3 to 4Ls away on rails, niggled along on circled given decent tempo, weakened right out in straight.
