2 3 SUNNY POWER (A371) S De Sousa B Sent forward from wide draw and after being three wide in early section positioned outside leader from 1000m. Travelled comfortably, three quarters length off lead on cornering and tried hard but couldn't real in leader.
3 6 MY WINNER (B197) K Teetan B Commenced well before easing into third position on leaders back. Had clear running on straightening but could not sprint but instead ground to the line.
4 13 GOLD VELVET (V400) G van Niekerk B Started well before position one pair behind leaders on the outside. Maintained position upon entering the straight and battled hard but no match for first two.
5 10 EVER LAUGH (A278) U Rispoli B/TT Crowded on jumping before being eased back across to the fence after 200m. Worse than midfield and keen in middle sections due to slow pace. Stayed close to fence in straight & made some late ground in leader dominated race.
6 14 PRESIDENTPARAMOUNT (S420) M Chadwick H Allowed to find feet in first 300m before positioning midfield between runners around 4.5L off lead. Was ridden up prior to cornering to improve and did give short sprint before shifting around and tiring in last 200m.
7 11 GARLIC YEAH (V039) W M Lai B Was bumped heavily shortly after the start before positioning worse than midfield around 6L off slow speed. Ridden up when speed quickened upon straightening but was always too far back to be a threat.
8 12 JIN JIN KING (A329) S Clipperton H Commenced well before coming across to position two pairs back on the fence. Travelled well and wasn't far away from lead before straightening but weakened out in final section.
9 5 HEROIC GURU (S260) C Murray B Was back and cross shortly after the start to position third last on the outside. Improved out wider on the track upon straightening but was always well back in the run and was not suited to slow mid race tempo.
10 2 AMAZING AGILITY (V192) H T Mo CP-/SR/XB1 Not fast away and eased back and across to the fence within first 100m. Was a clear last upon straightening before pulling wider on the track and attempting to improve position.
11 4 FULL OF CHANCES (A284) K C Leung CP Ridden forward for first 300m but could not get cover and was posted three horses wide in middle sections. Improved slightly approaching 600m however came under pressure shortly after and weakened out in the straight.
12 8 FANTASTIC SHOW (A207) C Schofield -- Not fast away and was given a few reminders early before settling last. Pulled out wider from the 550m at the same time the speed increased and subsequently entered straight the widest runner but in second last position.
13 7 RADIANT BUNNY (S418) A Badel -- Commenced well before eased back after 150m, positioning slightly worse than midfield and three horses wide. Was around 4.5 lengths off lead and three wide with cover at 600m but couldn't quicken from that point on.
14 1 KEEP WINNING (B331) H N Wong -- Slow away but gathered speed quickly to rail up to midfield position after 200m. Was keen in middle stages and improved close to heels near 600m. Was ridden up when sprint went on upon straightening but weakened late.
