6 3 TOTAL EXCESS (C428) Z Purton TT Began well before being crossed & racing on leaders back. Race tight when moving away from inside on cornering before peaking at the furlong & wilding a few lengths late.
7 11 HARDLY SWEARS (C025) A Hamelin H Raced in midfield on rail throughout. Stayed on the inside on straightening, 3L from the lead entering last section before failing to improve & never threatened when weakening out to be 5L behind.
8 13 BRIGHT VISION (D251) M F Poon B1 Raced in midfield between runners throughout. Drifted further back passing the 700m when being niggled along. Shifted wider on cornering before effectively holding position in dash to line. No threat.
9 14 STAY CHILL (D189) M L Yeung -- Drifted back after start to settle third from last. Continued near the rear in cornering before passing a few tiring runners in closing stages but never making any noteworthy headway into margin.
10 2 PRINCE OF FROG (D324) B Shinn H/P/XB Steadied after the start & shifted across behind runners to race second last. Continued near the rear, over 6 lengths from lead entering last section before failing to make any rear headway in straight. (Lame RF next day).
11 9 TELECOM ELITE (D355) M Chadwick -- Began well to race in midfield before hard ridden to improve approaching the 800m when only 2.5 lengths from lead. Continued between runners on cornering before weakening out meekly in final 300m. Well beaten.
12 12 TOM'S STYLE (C509) C Y Ho TT Improved after the start to race to second, away from the rail. Entered last section a length behind the lead before weakening out sharply in final 300m. Beaten over 9L.
13 8 ORIENTAL AMIGO (D232) H N Wong -- Was the slowest to begin before being shifted back to last. Moved wider passing the 500m but continued last on cornering, over 7L from the lead. Did nothing in straight & beat only one home when 10 lengths behind.
14 1 STYLING CITY (B280) K H Chan B/TT Trapped four and 5 wide in midfield throughout. Drifted further back passing 700m before being relegated to effectively last when cornering the widest. Never improved after covering additional round & was long last.
