4 7 GOLDEN LINK (D222) T Piccone -- Led from a wide draw early, settled within 1L just outside race leader, hit the front under pressure approaching the 200 metres only to be headed 70 metres out, pipped for 3rd.
5 8 BEAUTY SPIRIT (B409) K C Leung CP/TT Ridden throughout early stages reaching 5th some 3L back passing the 1000 metres, kept on same pace without quickening in the run to the line.
6 6 TRUST ME (C134) M Chadwick H Began well from the widest gate, soon taken back to rear of midfield in joint 7th, in similar position entering home straight, fought on steadily to be nearest at finish.

8 2 CRAIG'S STAR (C041) M F Poon B Improved steadily along the rail early reaching one back in 3rd 1100 metres out, switched out for a run entering home straight, found nothing under pressure. (Questioned for disappointing performance – blood in trachea)

10 9 AI ONE (E139) M L Yeung XB-/CP1 Picked up steadily along the rail before settling just worse than midfield in joint 7th, angled out for a run entering home straight, one-paced under pressure.
11 1 UNCLE STEVE (C140) Z Purton CP/SR/XB Broke well before taken back, pulled to the front shortly after and led until finding no extra over 200 metres out, folded up quickly. (Questioned for disappointing performance)
