3 10 HORSESAIN BOLT (D061) C L Chau B/XB Race din midfield away from rail throughout. Raced tight early in straight before getting clear passing 350m before closing off well to hold third, beaten under 1L.
4 4 CRAIG'S STAR (C041) H Bentley B Steadied & taken back towards the rear. Shifted wider on straightening, over 4L behind at the 400m before making good late headway in the closing stages to be beaten only 2L on the line.
5 2 BEAUTY LEGACY (D023) J Moreira E/TT Steadied after first 100m & raced just worse than midfield when wide with cover. Moved wider passing the 600m, bumped on straightening when the widest runner before making steady late ground, just over 2L behind in midfield.
6 5 GORYTUS (E302) M F Poon XB/TT Improved position after first furlong to race second before being crossed and racing 1,1 from the 850m. Eased wider on cornering, continued only a neck from the lead at the 200m before weakening slightly late. Not beaten far.
7 8 COPARTNER AMBITION (E218) C Y Ho CP/TT Raced in midfield before being steadied to be just worse than midfield between runners. Moved into 3 wide line near 800m, forced wider on turn, hampered on straightening when only 2.5L behind, finished evenly late.
8 7 ROYAL PRIDE (E351) L Ferraris TT Raced in midfield on the rail throughout. Moved away from rail on straightening when just over 2L behind giving a length or so despite being awkwardly placed near heels in concluding stages. No threat.
9 13 KYRUS UNICORN (D267) M L Yeung SR Steadied form outside gate & got back to last. Continued near the rear on cornering, straightened 4.5L from lead, shifted away from rail mid-straight, passed a few tiring rivals when running onto midfield.
10 9 DRAGON FORTUNE (E110) C Schofield TT Raced on leaders back throughout. Held in a pocket when just behind lead on straightening & then had no room to improve for most of straight when rivals went by. Had excuse.
11 1 CIRCUIT STELLAR (G076) A Badel TT1 Worked hard from gate 13, improved to assume narrow lead passing the 800m when racing away from rail before sharing the lead from the 600m. Continued to share lead until emptying at 275m & giving ground late after tough run.
11 12 CIRCUIT MIGHTY (G078) R Maia -- Raced in midfield but was left three wide no cover from the 850m. Hampered on straightening when only 2.5L from the lead before weakening in final 300m.
13 14 SPEED FAY FAY (D121) M Chadwick B Hard ridden after start, improved to lead near 1200m before being headed near 800m when holding the rail. Improved again to share lead from 600m, joined passing the 300m before weakening out after doing too much work early.
14 3 KING TOURBILLON (G097) K C Leung B1 Steadied & shifted behind runners to race near the tail. Relegated to last passing the 900m mark, straightened 6L from the lead before weakening further to be beaten over 9L in last.
