Addeybb |
Loves the very soft ground expected here. A former handicapper who has made an easy transition to stronger company, most recently when positively ridden to win a G3 at Haydock. A past Ascot winner with a high percentage winning strike-rate. |
2 |
Regal Reality |
Moved up to a similar trip to this when showing smart acceleration to win a G3 at Sandown in May before running an excellent third to Enable in a G1 there in July. Respectable efforts twice since in top company but slow ground may not be ideal. |
3 |
Coronet |
Placed in the longer fillies and mares G1 on this day for the last two years. Proved very effective at this shorter trip (on heavy ground) when forging clear in the last 200m at Deauville in August. Retirement looms but she could go out on a high here. |

Deirdre |
This classy Japanese mare proved she could adapt to European conditions when her powerful surge saw her win a Goodwood G1 over this distance in August. Imprisoned in a Leopardstown G1 last time and when she got space it was too late but she finished very fast. |
5 |
I Can Fly |
Her last five starts have been at G1 level, though third is the best this busy filly has managed. Mostly races over shorter but probably handles this trip. Can't be totally dismissed as she came close to a shock G1 win at this meeting last year. |
6 |
Magical |
Gained a first G1 during her distinguished career when winning the longer event for fillies and mares at this meeting last year. Best when ridden close to the speed, this very tough filly won another G1 at Leopardstown (this trip) prior to a fine 5th in the Arc. |
7 |
Fox Tal |
A close 3rd in a G1 in France on his final two-year-old start. He has had some problems and didn't reappear until September when outclassing some fairly highly-rated rivals over this distance on fast ground at Doncaster. Drying ground preferable. |
8 |
Pondus |
Twice a winner and has since twice proved he can handle slow ground when runner-up in a Listed event at Newbury and a G3 at Haydock. A close 3rd at Newbury last time, the winner having won a G1 in Canada last weekend. |

Mehdaayih |
A high class filly who successfully raided France when winning a 2400m G2 at Saint-Cloud in June, then running a fine 2nd in a Goodwood G1. However her fans will need to forget a bitterly disappointing G1 Longchamp effort this month, leading but fading right out. |
