3yo Maiden S1 - 1, 28/06/2020, Sunday Post Time 11:55

A Shin Mahoroba

Moving to dirt for first time at this distance. Last start got good position and made good effort until final turn but quickly dropped out. Trackwork has been good. Distance suits.

Come On to Me

Drew far inside last out, broke well but lacked speed to lead. Good solid run. Still a bit lacking, but has chance.

La La Petanque

Only second start, with 10th on debut in Hanshin 1400m in April. Broke late. Failed to advance.

Margrete

Only second start. Has speed but was heavy last out mid May, tank empty at final turn. Has gotten lots of work since. Has potential.

Meisho Ares

Small colt. Chronically late out of gate. Good late speed but lacks power.

Meisho Shoot

Moved to dirt from four starts ago, all over 1200m. 7-2-5 in last three. Prefers fast ground. Lacks quick turn of foot but could do well with good trip. Yutaka Take up a plus.

Meisho Wadama

Finished 2nd two weeks ago over sloppy Hanshin 1200m. Lost concentration in first turn but recovered. Yuichi Fukunaga in saddle again a plus.

Mozu Triple A

Half-brother of the 2017 G1 Queen Elizabeth II Cup winner Mozu Katchan. Three career starts. Condition improved last out but failed to go forward sufficiently from gate. Gained ground in stretch but needs more experience.

Muty

Missed break last out in Niigata 1200m but recovered to finish 1.8 lengths off winner with good late speed. Distance suits.

Nihonpiro Bakela

Chronically slow out of gate. Good stamina, but turn of foot needs to improve. Has only run on heavy and sloppy ground. Fast track may help.

Pasaran

Has best a 6th at the course and distance over sloppy ground. Last out over fast Kyoto 1400m, dropped out in stretch. Trackwork lacking. Condition on raceday key.

Run Faster

Has best a 7th from four previous starts over six furlongs. Has only run on heavy ground. Fast track could help. Hard workout this week and blinkers for first time may have him on his game.

Sand Joker

Best performance on dirt a far 7th over Hanshin 1200m. Flummoxed by sloppy track last out. Some improvement but lacks work.

Silent Swoop

Fifth start with best 2nd over Hanshin 1400m on debut. Races from good position. Furlong less a plus and looking strong in trackwork.

Sunrise Archon

Given Hanshin 1400m early this month and finished 3rd. Forward position and blinkers helped, wearing them again. Christophe Lemaire up a plus.

Vera

Early speed. Has finished close in all starts, five over 6 furlongs. Looking good in work. Can handle any going. Only matter of time before he wins.
