4 wins over 1800m and 2000m in 26 starts, most recent win in the G3 Kokura Daishoten (1800m) in February.  Raced more forward than usual for a smart 4th on good going in the G2 Mainichi Okan (1800m) at Tokyo on 11 October.  Hold-up runner.  Best on firm.

Daiwa Cagney

8 wins at Tokyo ranging from 1600m to 2000 across 25 career starts. Gelded in summer and ran well first-up when 2nd in the G2 Mainichi Okan (1800m) latest.  Can sit handy and race on speed.  No ground worries.

Danon Kingly

Finished on the board in all but one when one-paced for 7th in the G1 Yasuda Kinen (1600m) last out.  Yet to take a G1 but fought on well when a neck 2nd in the 2019 G1 Japanese Derby (2400m) and half-length 3rd (Chrono Genesis in 2nd) in the G1 Osaka Hai (2000m) in April. Can be ridden forward or held back for a strong finish.  Best on firm.

Win Bright

The Sha Tin specialist runs for the first time since March.  Left-handed Tokyo unlikely to be his best trip but trainer Yoshihiro Hatakeyama said this would be a good preparation for his following races.  Strong closer and all runs on firm or good.

Fierement

Back-to-back G1 Tenno Sho Spring (3200m) winner. Sidelined since May due to temperature before the prep race for this in September.  Will start over the distance for the first time since finishing 3rd in the 2019 G2 Sapporo Kinen.  Generally settles midfield or further.

Chrono Genesis

Finished on the board in all 11 career starts. Won all 4 on rain-affected track, last time a 6L romp in the G1 Takarazuka Kinen (2200m) on good going in June.  Finished in the top 3 in all previous starts at Tokyo.  Can race forward or from deep.

Kiseki

Regular contender in middle distance G1s.  Finished in Top 3 from 4 starts at the distance.  Came off a 0.8L 2nd to Glory Vase in the G2 Kyoto Daishoten (2400m) last out.  Usually takes lead or sits handily but can race from deep.  Versatile type of going.

Almond Eye

Japan’s wonder mare and seven-time G1 winner.  Last win came in the G1 Victoria Mile in May, before 2.5L 2nd to Gran Alegria in the G1 Yasuda Kinen (1600m) in June after missing the break and leaving too much ground to make up.  Never beaten first-up after the break.  5 wins and 2 placings from 7 starts at Tokyo. 2000m is her best trip.  Races from midfield or better but can be ridden back.  Best on firm.

Scarlet Color

3 wins between 1600m and 1800m from 20 outings. Below par in 4 previous starts at G1 level. Struggled to find a clear path but made late ground for 3rd in the G3 Queen Stakes (1800m) at Sapporo in August latest.  Settles back.  Only tested on firm and good.

Danon Premium

Last win back in April 2019 when taking the G2 Yomiuri Milers Cup. Finished a creditable 3L 2nd behind Almond Eye in this race last year. Only started twice this term including a nice 3rd behind recent Champions Stakes winner Addeybb, in the G1 Queen Elizabeth Stakes (2000m) at Randwick in April.

Jinambo

Four wins between 1800m and 2000m at a far inferior level than this, in 12 outings. Ran 2nd for second successive year in the G3 Niigata Kinen (2000m) in September last out.  Left-handed course with one turn is his best trip.  Sits handily and can set pace.  No track worries.
