A respectable fourth in this last year, and showed what he was still capable of when beating 16 rivals in a valuable Ascot handicap last October. May be better in big field handicaps than this sort of race.

Highland Avenue

Returning from a 428-day absence when not beaten far by his 2021 Derby-winning stablemate Adayar in a Newmarket G3. Pacemaking then but good chances here.

Imperial Fighter

Would not have much chance here based on his last three starts. Supporters will hope that he is back in the shape that saw him finish fast into third in a 2022 G1 Classic at The Curragh.

Marie’s Diamond

A G3 winner for a different stable much earlier in his career but has failed to win in 20 starts for this stable though there have been some near misses including in a York handicap last month.

Regal Reality

Having his first start at Epsom in a 27-race career, but he is four-times a G3 winner. Effective over similar distances, best on a good or fast surface and seems best when there is a strong pace to aim at.

Kolsai

Narrowly failed to win a Newmarket Listed event on his first 2023 start, then second at Goodwood when favourite though not getting a perfect passage. Effective at this trip.
