Won G1 St Leger over 2905m last year. Best run since when close second in G2 Yorkshire Cup over 2771m. Needs to be at best.

Enemy

A fair stayer but well beaten in latest runs at G3 level and victory would be a shock.

Giavellotto

Third in last year’s G1 St Leger over 2905m and won G2 Yorkshire Cup over 2771m in May. Needs further progress.

Lone Eagle

Generally disappointing since runner-up in G1 Irish Derby in 2021. Only an outside chance.

Ocean Wind

Cheap purchase has done well and stays well but absent for two years before third in Listed race in July. Unlikely winner.

Quickthorn

Front runner. Improved and had excellent 2022 until faced soft ground. Won Listed race over 2771m on fast ground in June. Needs more.

Tashkhan

Not won since 2021. A capable stayer but this looks too big a challenge.

Emily Dickinson

Best on soft ground, as when winning G2 over 2800m in July. Fourth on fast ground in G1 Ascot Gold Cup. Fine chance if soft ground.
