Auguste Rodin |
Five G1 victories in his eleven-race career demonstrates his brilliance, most recently over 2400m at Santa Anita last November. Occasional dismal performances also. At his best clearly the one to beat here. |
2 |
Crypto Force |
Career highlight so far was when making smooth headway from the rear to win a 1600m G2 here in 2022 before a long absence. Led for much of the trip at Longchamp in April, a solid effort but has a hard task here. |

Elegant Man |
Very lightly raced but has made sharp improvement on each start, most recently with a powerful front-running display under top weight in a Newcastle handicap. This G1 is a step into the unknown but it’s worth a try. |
4 |
Hans Andersen |
A heavy ground G3 winner at Leopardstown last year. That was over 1416m, but whilst he stays this longer trip he has not so far looked up to G1 standard. |
5 |
Lord Massusus |
Up to 2100m for the first time but looked as though he stayed 2000m when second in a G2 here this month. Pretty consistent but probably not quite up to winning this. |
6 |
Mashhoor |
Especially convincing when easily winning a 2000m G3 here last July with a dynamic front-running display. Hasn’t managed to hit that level in four starts since. |
7 |
White Birch |
This grey colt has been at the top of his game on both starts this season, proving his liking for this track also with 2000m victories in a G3 and G2. They both came on slow ground, but he’s fine on fast ground also. |

Lumiere Rock |
Very talented. Prominently ridden she won a 2000m G2 here last September, also running a close third in a Longchamp G1 subsequently. |
