His form figures hardly make for encouraging reading and he will do very well to snap current seven race losing streak.

Created a huge shock when staging an 80-1 upset in this race last year. He was badly in need of race when 13th of 14th on reappearance in G2 at York, but is reported to have thrived since.

Kinross

Admirable performer who showed that he can still cut it at the highest level in 2023. Out to improve on seventh (2023) and eighth (2022) in this same race, but fitness must be taken on trust on reappearance.

Mill Stream

Translated last season’s promise with game win in G2 at York in May despite not getting a clear run. Improving with age and clearly a prime contender.

Mitbaahy

Hold-up sprinter who loves to swoop late. Served up career best with last gasp win in Irish G2. Capable of making his mark again if things pan out right for him.

Quinault

This prolific handicapper made dramatic strides (seven wins) forward last season. Not batting at the same level so far this term but drop back to 1200m should suit.

Shartash

This ex-Irish performer is clearly bedding in nicely at Newmarket. Rejuvenated by two wins under new trainer, he’s clearly going places at present.

Shouldvebeenaring

Smart if a little unpredictable. Enters calculations on his two G1 placings in 2023 and G2 second at York in May.

The Wizard Of Eye

Got up late to win big handicap here in May. Has a lot more on his plate but he does have freshness on his side.

Washington Heights

Created a 33-1 surprise in G3 at Newmarket in April and followed up with solid fourth in G2 at York last start. He should again be on the premises.

Believing

Has clearly hit her best form at the right time. Followed up Haydock listed win with a fine fourth in a G1 1000m here on Tuesday. Steps up to 1200m trip, which has four career wins, should be a plus.

Swingalong

Has run some big races here (third and fourth in G1 company) and she shouldn’t be far away if stepping up on seasonal debut (eighth) effort.

Vadream

Invariably best with some cut and unlikely to have been suited by the good to firm ground when 16th of 17 in G1 1000m here on Tuesday. Probably needs conditions to come right for her in order to make her mark.
