Mr Brightside

Brilliant galloper who has raced 7 times at Caulfield and the distance for 5 wins and 2 seconds. Is aiming for his 9th G1 win. Finished a narrow 2nd first-up at last start in G1 C F Orr Stakes (1400m) here. Has excellent second-up record.  Drawn poorly.

I Wish I win

Is first-up after running 6.18L last in G1 The Everest (1200m) in October. The 2-time G1 winner has won 2 trials leading into this and is more than capable of bouncing back. Likes the track.

Pericles

Spelled after winning the Listed Five Diamonds Stakes (1800m) at Rosehill in November. Won a 1250m trial last week and could add to his excellent first-up form with a top 3 finish. Has been placed twice at the track and distance.

Tom Kitten

One of the hopes to upset the top fancied runners. Is yet to race at the Caulfield track which can be tricky. Last raced when 3rd in the Golden Eagle (1500m), beaten 0.58L, in November. Has good fresh form.

Light Infantry Man

European galloper who is a last start winner of the G1 Northerly Stakes (1800m). Has reasonable first-up form but might find the top few a bit slick at 1400m.

Pinstriped

Is struggling to repeat the performance when he downed Mr Brightside in the G1 Memsie Stakes (1400m) here in August. Beat one home at last start in G1 C F Orr Stakes (1400m) which was the first time he’d missed a place at the track and distance.

Freedom Rally

Went around at big odds when resumed in the G1 C F Orr Stakes (1400m) at Caulfield when finished 7.16L 8th. Previous form was sound but would need lots of improvement and plenty of luck to feature here.

Super Smink

The 3-time Group winner was just fair in the G1 C F Orr Stakes (1400m) when finishing 6.7L 7th. Hasn’t had much luck in recent runs and will need plenty to topple the fancies in this, but has a good record at the distance.

Place Du Carrousel

French galloper who is yet to break through in her four Australian runs. Her form has been reasonable and was beaten 5.76L in G1 Turnbull Stakes (2000m) at last run in October. Has won 2 trials and first-up form is solid.

Private Life

Returned from a spell with a solid effort in the G1 C F Orr Stakes (1400m) at Caulfield, finishing 5.5L 4th. Is a G1 winner here of the Caulfield Guineas (1600m). Lightly raced and can give cheek.

Has had little luck in past couple, including at last start in the G2 Autumn Stakes (1400m) at Caulfield when got out late to finish 3rd, beaten 2.75L. Capable of a place at odds.
