Racing Incident Report
FORTUNE GLORY jumped awkwardly, got its head up and just after the start was severely checked when crowded between DYNAMIC WINNINGS and LEGEND'S GLORY which shifted out away from BELOVED PARTNER. The occurrence was in the opinion of the Stewards accidental. WORLD STAR left the gates awkwardly. On leaving the gates, Apprentice S K Sit (CHARMING GUEST) momentarily lost the use of his near side stirrup iron. GOOD SPIRIT left the gates badly with its head in the air and running to the winning post the first time continued to race with its head in an awkward position, shifted some ground at about the winning post the first time and this caused some inconvenience to RANGEELA and to ALWAYS ON. After this, RANGEELA was obliged to race wide, then in the run to the winning post got its head on the side and hung in. At the winning post the first time, WORLD STAR jumped the reflection of the mirror on the track. About the winning post the first time, LEGEND'S GLORY was momentarily unbalanced when awkward between GRAND PRIZE and BELOVED PARTNER which shifted out slightly away from OPTIC CHIEF. In the early stages, ON FIRE raced ungenerously with its head up. Near the 1000 Metres, CHARMING GUEST got its head up when being steadied to race behind DYNAMIC WINNINGS. About the 400 Metres, ABLE WIN attempted to improve inside CITY FORTUNE which was commencing to give ground. ABLE WIN was endeavouring to improve where there was barely room whilst CHARMING GUEST which was on its inside and stopping. After being held up for some time, ABLE WIN was able to obtain the run, but as a consequence of it doing so, CHARMING GUEST was severely checked, OPTIC CHIEF, which was following, was checked. Inconvenience was also caused to WORLD STAR and to ALWAYS ON. In view of all the circumstances, the Stewards believed they had little alternative but to deem the occurrence an accidental one and no action was taken. FORTUNE GLORY was sent for clinical veterinary examination and routine testing.
