Racing Incident Report
ETERNAL FUN, which was restless after being boxed, came out awkwardly. Just on straightening, POINT GREY was momentarily unbalanced. Also just on straightening, SILENT PARTNER and FORWOOD came together. In the run to the winning post, RIVER CENTAINE was close to the heels of ZIETENGO BOY. RIVER CENTAINE was sent for a clinical veterinary examination and sampling. The post race clinical examination of RIVER CENTAINE revealed no abnormalities. SPLENDID PATROL and V-CAN were sent for sampling. After the race, it was noted ETERNAL FUN had sustained a minor laceration to its upper lip.
Additional Veterinary Reports from 1 October 2002 Race Meeting
The Stewards have today (2/10) received veterinary reports from Dr Brian Stewart, Senior Veterinary Officer, regarding yesterday's Sha Tin meeting.
EVER GLORY: After the race, the horse was examined and no finding of lameness was detected. Dr Stewart has today said EVERY GLORY does have a problem with both front fetlocks due to wear and tear. He said this may cause EVER GLORY to be reluctant to stretch out as it should when racing. Before EVER GLORY can run again, it will be required to pass an official veterinary examination.
