Racing Incident Report
SMILEY WIN missed the start. OBRIGADO left the gates awkwardly. As a result of this, Y T Cheng momentarily lost the use of his right side stirrup iron. WELL CONTEND bounded in the air when the gates opened and then in the Straight hung in. Running towards the first turn, FORTUNE MAPLE, which was being ridden forward to cross to the lead, steadied. As a consequence of this, SEA CORAL (D Dunn), which was also being ridden forward, bumped FORTUNE MAPLE quite significantly. Because of the circumstances involved, no direct action was taken, but D Dunn was reprimanded and told he must exercise far more care. After this incident, SEA CORAL made the first turn awkwardly. Approaching and rounding the Home Turn, CRAIG'S HA HA hung out rather badly. Near the 200 Metres, MULTIPERFECTION was steadied and shifted in to find running, after this was inclined to lay in. SMILEY WIN, FORTUNE MAPLE and HONOUR GRADE were sent for sampling.
