Racing Incident Report

In the early stages, ROOSEVELT proved difficult to settle and got its head up on a number of occasions. At the 1800 Metres, SATURN got its head up when being steadied away from the heels of FLORAL DYNAMITE. After the 200 Metres, AGILITY was steadied when disappointed for running between PRECISION and SATURN which at this time was shifting towards the outside of BEETHOVEN. Throughout the race, COME SEE YOU raced wide and without cover. PALETTE NATURAL and BEETHOVEN were sent for an official veterinary inspection. A veterinary inspection of PALETTE NATURAL and BEETHOVEN after the race did not show any significant findings. VENGEANCE OF RAIN and FLORAL DYNAMITE were sent for sampling. After the race, the Veterinary Officer reported AGILITY had blood present at its mouth as a result of having loosened a tooth.
Additional Veterinary Reports (released on 31 January 2005)
PALETTE NATURAL, which performed poorly, was examined by the Senior Veterinary Officer. He said at that time there were no significant findings. PALETTE NATURAL was again examined by the Senior Veterinary Officer at the stables of Trainer J Size this morning. He said at this time he noted the horse to have sustained multiple abrasions to the left hock. Before being allowed to race again, PALETTE NATURAL will be subjected to an official veterinary examination.
