Racing Incident Report
BRIGHT AND GAY began awkwardly and bumped the outside gate of its stall. RICH FOR ALL was slow to begin. With the intention of being ridden quietly from a wide barrier, ACCOLADE on jumping was immediately steadied and shifted across behind runners. At the 1400 Metres, G-ONE LEADING got its head up when being steadied away from the heels of A PLUS FIT which shifted out after being crossed by FEEL-SO-GOOD. BRIGHT AND GAY, which was following G-ONE LEADING, was steadied away from the heels of that horse. Near the 1300 Metres, MUTUAL GAIN became unbalanced and lost ground. Approaching the turn at the 800 Metres, FEEL-SO-GOOD was steadied away from the heels of STRIKE TO WIN. MUTUAL GAIN, which was following, was steadied to avoid the heels of FEEL-SO-GOOD and RICH FOR ALL was steadied away from the heels of MUTUAL GAIN. Making the turn at the 800 Metres, PACIFIC ALLIANCE was crowded for room inside G-ONE LEADING which at this time got its head on the side and shifted in away from HARRY HARRY. No action was taken. In the early part of the Straight, MUTUAL GAIN had some difficulty obtaining clear running, then when closing the race off strongly near the 200 Metres was steadied for some distance when unable to continue improving between A PLUS FIT which shifted in when giving ground and FEEL-SO-GOOD which shifted out after being bumped by STRIKE TO WIN. After the 400 Metres, A PLUS FIT, which commenced to give ground, was momentarily steadied when crowded for room between HARRY HARRY and DANSOLDE which shifted out into clear running. Throughout the race, HARRY HARRY travelled wide and without cover. A PLUS FIT was sent for an official veterinary inspection. A veterinary inspection of A PLUS FIT after the race did not show any significant findings. DANSOLDE and PACIFIC ALLIANCE were sent for sampling.
