Racing Incident Report
Pla. | Horse No. | Horse | Incident |
| 3 | SAMARKAND (H070) | Near the 1500 Metres got its head up when being shifted behind FOREVER GLORIOUS to obtain cover and then raced keenly throughout the early stages. Sent for sampling post-race. |
| 9 | HAPPY ANGEL (G133) | Sent for sampling post-race. |
| 7 | FOREVER GLORIOUS (G229) | No report. |
| 2 | PEGASUS GENERAL (G189) | On arrival at the Start, K C Leung expressed concern with his mount’s action. PEGASUS GENERAL was examined by the Veterinary Officer who, after the necessary consultations, said the horse was suitable to race. Jumped only fairly. Near the 250 Metres was directed to the outside of HAPPY ANGEL and then SAMARKAND where it secured clear running approaching the 150 Metres. |
| 11 | PALACE PAL (G172) | No report. |
| 4 | SERANGOON (H296) | Slow to begin. After the 300 Metres was shifted to the outside of PALACE PAL to secure clear running. |
| 5 | RUNNING AHEAD (G313) | No report. |
| 8 | FORTUNE PRESIDENT (G054) | From a wide barrier was shifted across behind runners in the early stages. |
| 6 | READY PLAYER ONE (G143) | After the race, C Y Ho reported that his mount was not taken into the event when SPLENDID STAR did not improve and as a result was obliged to make a wide run on the Home Turn whereby READY PLAYER ONE then finished the race off only fairly thereafter. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings. |
| 12 | SPLENDID STAR (G026) | After the race, K Teetan stated that the horse, which was stepping up to Class 4, was obliged to race wide and without cover for the majority of the event and as a result may not have run out tonight’s 1800 Metres. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings. |
| 1 | INVINCIBLE MISSILE (C037) | After the race, J McDonald stated that his mount came under pressure making the Home Turn and although held up for clear running for some distance after the 300 Metres finished the race off in a disappointing manner. Trainer C Fownes advised that INVINCIBLE MISSILE had pleased his stable since its last start and said he would now look to experiment with the gear on INVINCIBLE MISSILE as it appeared to resent racing amongst other horses. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings. <14/12/2023 Additional Veterinary Reports> INVINCIBLE MISSILE, which performed disappointingly, was examined by the Veterinary Officer who said at that time there were no significant findings. INVINCIBLE MISSILE was again examined by the Veterinary Officer at the stables of Trainer C Fownes this morning. He said at this time he noted the horse to be lame in its left front leg. Before being allowed to race again, INVINCIBLE MISSILE will be subjected to an official veterinary examination. |
| 10 | VINCY (B213) | From the outside barrier was shifted across behind runners in the early stages. |
