B Avdulla was suspended from riding in races for a period to commence on Sunday, 25 February 2024 and to expire on Thursday, 29 February 2024 on which day he may resume race riding (2 Hong Kong racedays). In assessing penalty, the Stewards determined the carelessness grade 2 and the consequences grade 2 and also considered his good race riding record. |

| TNP | 11 | GLOBAL HARMONY (G337) | The Stewards deferred the declaration of weighed-in whilst they considered if GLOBAL HARMONY had been afforded a fair start. On the evidence, it was established that as the start was effected, GLOBAL HARMONY refused to jump and took no part in the event. As the Stewards formed the opinion that GLOBAL HARMONY had not had an unfair start, the horse was declared a runner. As this was the second consecutive occasion that GLOBAL HARMONY had refused to jump, Trainer D A Hayes was informed that the entries of GLOBAL HARMONY in races and barrier trials will be refused until such time the Stewards make a final determination in respect to the racing future of the horse. Sent for sampling post-race. <29/2/2024 GLOBAL HARMONY>The Stewards have considered an application from the Owners’ representative of GLOBAL HARMONY to permit GLOBAL HARMONY to continue to race in Hong Kong following the horse refusing to jump from the starting gates on 21 January 2024 and most recently on 18 February 2024. After considering the application and consistent with previous similar decisions of the Stewards, it has been determined that GLOBAL HARMONY will be permitted to continue to race in Hong Kong subject to the following conditions: 1. The horse is embargoed from racing in Hong Kong for four (4) months from 18 February 2024. 2. The horse must compete in a minimum of five (5) consecutive barrier trials in Hong Kong to the satisfaction of the Stewards, with a minimum of two (2) of those barrier trials to be conducted from the 1600 Metres starting point. The same gear must be worn by the horse on raceday as used in all five (5) barrier trials. 3. Prior to barrier trialing the horse must satisfactorily compete in two (2) jump-outs with at least one (1) of those jump-outs to be conducted in Hong Kong. 4. Should GLOBAL HARMONY refuse to jump or be very slow to jump in any of the barrier trials, the Stewards will make a recommendation that the horse should be compulsorily retired from racing in Hong Kong. |
