| 7 | 5 | HOLY POWER (H039) | Apprentice E C W Wong (GALLANT CROWN) pleaded guilty to a charge of careless riding [Rule 100(1)] in that after the 1500 Metres he allowed his mount to shift in when insufficiently clear of HOLY POWER, resulting in HOLY POWER being checked to avoid the heels of GALLANT CROWN. Apprentice Wong was suspended from riding in races for a period to commence on Wednesday, 29 May 2024 and to expire on Thursday, 6 June 2024 on which day he may resume race riding (3 Hong Kong racedays). In assessing penalty, the Stewards determined the carelessness grade 2 and the consequences grade 2 and also considered his poor race riding record. Over the concluding stages raced tight to the inside of MR ALADDIN and could not be fully ridden out to the finish. |

A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings. |
