Racing Incident Report

Pla. Horse No. Horse Incident
4 NORTHERN BEAST (H233) Sent for sampling post-race.
7 DOUBLE WIN (H382) Raced wide and without cover from the 700 Metres when DRAGON STAR shifted out. Sent for sampling post-race.
8 STURDY RUBY (H207) Jumped only fairly.
6 THE AZURE (J227) No report.
11 LUCKY BANNER (G354) No report.
2 DRAGON STAR (H128) No report.
12 MATSU VICTOR (H472) Jumped awkwardly and from a wide barrier was shifted across behind runners in the early stages. In the early stages raced keenly when being steadied to obtain cover.
10 FOREMOST TEDDY (J058) When questioned, K H Chan stated that after following LUCKY BANNER he attempted to improve into a run between LUCKY BANNER and DRAGON STAR on the Home Turn, but was obliged to check his mount near the 250 Metres when disappointed for this run. He added that he then commenced to ride FOREMOST TEDDY along shortly after, but then struck the heels of LUCKY BANNER approaching the 200 Metres which resulted in FOREMOST TEDDY blundering. K H Chan was advised that in similar circumstances he should exercise more care than he did on this occasion to ensure that there is sufficient room when he improves into runs in future.
1 SNOWALOT (E397) From the outside barrier was shifted across behind runners in the early stages. Near the 250 Metres was shifted to the outside of YEE CHEONG RAIDER to obtain clear running.
3 D STAR (G374) A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
9 YEE CHEONG RAIDER (J176) After the race, B Thompson could offer no explanation for his mount’s disappointing performance. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race which included an endoscopic examination showed a substantial amount of mucus in the horse’s trachea.
5 DARCI JOY (E161) After the race, M F Poon stated that his mount was disadvantaged by racing wide and without cover and as a result was left without a finishing effort in the Home Straight. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
