3 6 CHAIN OF GOLD (J138) Jumped only fairly and then was hampered when bumped by NOBLE PURSUIT which shifted out. After the 1500 Metres was awkwardly placed on the heels of NOBLE PURSUIT as it was being shifted in to obtain a position behind that runner.

10 5 IVY LEAGUE (H116) Held up making the Home Turn. On straightening improved to take a narrow run to the inside of EIGHTEEN PALMS which lay in when giving ground, resulting in IVY LEAGUE being crowded after the 250 Metres. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
11 1 CALIFORNIA VOCE (H258) From the outside barrier was shifted across behind runners in the early stages. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
12 8 EIGHTEEN PALMS (H033) After the event, H Bentley reported that when placed under pressure in the Home Straight his mount gave ground quickly, lay in and when he was concerned there may be something amiss with the horse, he did not fully test it out over the concluding stages. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings. The performance of EIGHTEEN PALMS, which finished tailed out, was considered unacceptable.
