Racing Incident Report

1 10 URANUS STAR (K511) On jumping shifted in and away from VICTORY SKY and bumped with EMBRACES. Sent for sampling post-race.
2 5 SILVERY BREEZE (K057) Near the 300 Metres shifted to the outside of EMBRACES to obtain clear running. Sent for sampling post-race.
3 4 A AMERIC TE SPECSO (H037) From the outside barrier was shifted across behind runners in the early stages. Near the 600 Metres raced tight to the inside of STURDY RUBY which lay in.
4 6 STURDY RUBY (H207) Bumped on jumping. From a wide barrier was shifted across behind runners in the early stages. Near the 550 Metres shifted out when being corrected by its rider C Y Ho and as a result made contact with NOBLE PURSUIT.
5 8 IVY LEAGUE (H116) No report.
6 12 VICTORY SKY (J540) Near the 200 Metres H Doyle dropped her whip.
7 3 STORMING DRAGON (J237) For some distance approaching the 150 Metres was held up for clear running behind EMBRACES which was giving ground.
8 1 CAMBRIDGE (K085) Bumped on jumping. Making the turn near the 1300 Metres raced tight between LOVERO which shifted in and TOP GUN which shifted out when it made the turn awkwardly.
9 2 EMBRACES (J276) Bumped at the start. C L Chau reported that his mount did not appreciate racing to the inside of VICTORY SKY during the event and finished the race off in a one-paced manner in the Home Straight. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
10 11 NOBLE PURSUIT (H324) Bumped near the 550 Metres.
11 7 LOVERO (H451) Y L Chung stated that his instructions were to go forward. He said in the early stages when a number of runners showed intent to hold an on-pace position and he was caught wide he elected to obtain a trailing position behind IVY LEAGUE. He added when IVY LEAGUE was able to continue forward to obtain a position behind the leader near the 1200 Metres, LOVERO was obliged to race wide and without cover thereafter.
12 9 TOP GUN (J249) Jumped only fairly. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race found that horse to have bled from both nostrils. Before being allowed to race again, TOP GUN will be required to perform satisfactorily in a barrier trial and be subjected to an official veterinary examination.
