4 3 STAR RISE (K516) Between the 400 Metres and the 100 Metres was held up for clear running.
5 8 SZERYNG (K317) Between the 400 Metres and the 100 Metres was badly held up for clear running. Over the concluding stages was unable to be ridden out to the finish when disappointed for clear running between SKY JOY and STORMY GROVE. Sent for sampling post-race.

7 13 WOLF COMING (K353) Raced very wide and without cover for the majority of the event.
8 14 YEE CHEONG GLORY (K074) On jumping was bumped by IGOR STRAVINSKY and became unbalanced.

10 11 ALWAYS AHEAD (L055) Bumped at the start.
11 6 STANLEY EXPRESS (K476) Bumped at the start. From a wide barrier was then shifted across behind runners in the early stages. Trainer P C Ng confirmed the instructions were to ride the horse in a conservative manner in the early stages to offset the wide barrier. Raced keenly in the middle stages and for some distance approaching the 700 Metres got its head up when positioned close to the heels of ALWAYS AHEAD.
12 9 IGOR STRAVINSKY (K086) Jumped awkwardly, shifted out and made contact with YEE CHEONG GLORY. Near the 100 Metres became unbalanced when HAROLD WIN shifted out towards that horse.
13 7 GOLDEN EMPIRE (E490) Trainer B Crawford confirmed that from a wide barrier the instructions issued to L Hewitson were to go forward.
14 12 VERMILION TEMPEST (L093) Jumped only fairly and then became unbalanced when it made contact with YEE CHEONG GLORY.
