Racing Incident Report

When the gates opened, WINNINGCOMBINATION threw its head up. Also when the gates opened, MY HEART, which was not standing well, bounded in the air. PLENTY WIN came out awkwardly. On jumping, GOOD TIME FOR ALL got its head up, shifted in abruptly. As a consequence of this FAT CHOY TOGETHER was checked. Near the 400 Metres, WINNINGCOMBINATION was severely checked when avoiding GOOD TIME FOR ALL which was weakening. When questioned, Apprentice M W Leung (GOOD TIME FOR ALL) stated he had been instructed by both the Trainer and the owner before the race to lead on the horse. He said GOOD TIME FOR ALL left the gates well, got to the front and in the middle stages he said he endeavoured to steady and allow GOLDEN BELL to lead, but GOOD TIME FOR ALL was too strong for him and he continued to let it run along in front and over the concluding stages GOOD TIME FOR ALL weakened out of the race. Apprentice C P Ting (GOLDEN BELL) stated he had been instructed by the Trainer to lead and also in the middle stages he attempted to come back and race behind GOOD TIME FOR ALL, but was not able to steady the horse into that position. The explanations submitted by Apprentices M W Leung and C P Ting on this occasion were recorded and they were both told their riding tonight had displayed a clear lack of knowledge of pace. MY HEART was sent for clinical veterinary examination and routine testing. After the race, it was noted that both hind fetlock bandages on ARRECTIS AURIBUS had loosened and were trailing. After the race, it was also noted that the near side hind bandage on WILLIAM'S SURPASS was trailing.
