Racing Incident Report

NORTHERNER was a little slow to begin and shortly afterwards was checked when crowded for room between STRONG SUN and GREEN TREASURE which was carried in by WIND WINNER which got its head on the side and shifted away from THUNDER MAN. With the intention of being ridden quietly from the outside gate, FIREWHEEL was immediately steadied and shifted across behind runners. In the early and middle stages, HAPPY CRUSADER proved very difficult to settle and on a number of occasions got its head up when close to the heels of STRONG SUN. NORTHERNER, which was following HAPPY CRUSADER, raced close to the heels of that horse on a number of occasions. Near the 700 Metres, THUNDER MAN raced tight inside GREEN TREASURE. Near the 600 Metres, SING FAY FAY was steadied and shifted to the inside of the heels of KINGFIELD. In the early part of the Straight, SING FAY FAY was awkwardly placed close to the heels of HAPPY CRUSADER which was giving ground. After the 200 Metres, ROYAL ARMY was momentarily steadied away from the heels of SING FAY FAY. Near the 100 Metres, OSCAR STAR and GREEN TREASURE came together due to both horses shifting ground. WIND WINNER, GREEN TREASURE and OSCAR STAR were sent for sampling.
