Racing Incident Report

ENDLESS LUCK was slow to begin. Despite being ridden along in the early stages, CHEEKY LAD failed to muster speed. Making the turn at the 800 Metres, SUPER FIGHTER, which was inclined to lay in, was steadied away from the heels of TOY STORY which was carried wider by SICHUAN HERO which itself was inclined to lay in and was steadied away from the heels of KINGIFLY which made the turn awkwardly and shifted out. STAR LEGEND, which was following, was steadied in consequence. When STAR LEGEND steadied, ENDLESS LUCK and LEO’S PRIDE, which were following, were checked in consequence. In the early and middle stages, MEGA HILL proved difficult to settle. Approaching and passing the 200 Metres, STAR LEGEND hung out, then over the concluding stages hung in. In the Straight, ENDLESS LUCK hung out. For the majority of the race, GOUF travelled wide and without cover and on straightening shifted wider after being bumped by ENDLESS LUCK which shifted out. Throughout the race, SALUT BEAUTE travelled wide and without cover. SALUT BEAUTE and CHEEKY LAD were sent for an official veterinary inspection. A veterinary inspection of SALUT BEAUTE after the race did not show any significant findings. After the race, CHEEKY LAD was examined by the Veterinary Officer. He said the horse was displaying an irregular heart rhythm. Before being allowed to race again, CHEEKY LAD will be required to perform satisfactorily in an official barrier trial and be subjected to an official veterinary examination. ENDLESS LUCK, KINGIFLY and TYCOON TAYLOR were sent for sampling.
