Racing Incident Report

GALLANT HUSSAR dwelt at the start and lost a considerable amount of ground. Before being allowed to race again, GALLANT HUSSAR will be required to perform satisfactorily in a stalls test. GENERAL DANROAD was slow to begin and shortly after the start was steadied away from the heels of TOUT VA BIEN which shifted in. Near the 950 Metres, SHARP BOY was steadied away from the heels of FIRST IN COMMAND which itself was steadied away from the heels of BUMBLE BEE (C W Wong) which shifted in when not quite clear. C W Wong was reprimanded and advised to ensure he is sufficiently clear when shifting ground in future. After this, SHARP BOY shifted in and bumped THE RIFLE which in turn shifted in, causing PRAISING to be steadied. Approaching the 800 Metres, THE RIFLE got its head up when awkwardly placed close to the heels of GUAN DAO. Also near the 800 Metres, SHARP BOY was steadied away from the heels of FIRST IN COMMAND which shifted in. SHANGHAI PIONEER, which was following, was shifted out away from the heels of SHARP BOY, resulting in CONQUEROR being taken wider. Rounding the Home Turn, GENERAL DANROAD, which was attempting to improve into a run between SHANGHAI PIONEER and PRAISING (B Prebble), was hampered when crowded for room as a result of PRAISING shifting out. In the circumstances, the Stewards deemed it appropriate for B Prebble to be reprimanded. Passing the 250 Metres, THE RIFLE was momentarily inconvenienced when steadied away from the heels of BUMBLE BEE which shifted in. Near the 150 Metres, GENERAL DANROAD was held up for clear running and was steadied away from the heels of BUMBLE BEE which at this time was weakening. After this, GENERAL DANROAD raced in restricted room inside GUAN DAO which shifted in when weakening. Throughout the race, MULTILOVE travelled wide and without cover. A veterinary inspection of BUMBLE BEE after the race did not show any significant findings. PRAISING and FIRST IN COMMAND were sent for sampling.
