Racing Incident Report

1 8 GLUCK RACER (E157) After being placed into the barriers and being positioned next to CHARMING STEED, was examined by the Veterinary Officer to ascertain if the horse had sustained any injury due to CHARMING STEED getting the right front leg over into its barrier stall. When CHARMING STEED was being removed from the barriers, it became entangled in the reins of GLUCK RACER which resulted in that gear being replaced before the start. Was examined by the Veterinary Officer and passed suitable to race. Sent for sampling post-race.
2 12 FORTUNE MASTER (D371) Badly crowded on jumping. Sent for sampling post-race.
3 2 PROSECCO (E457) Bumped on the hindquarters shortly after the start. Sent for sampling post-race.
4 14 COMPULSORY (E328) Jumped awkwardly, shifted in and then shortly after the start was crowded for room.
5 3 CASA LEGEND (G126) From a wide barrier was shifted across behind runners in the early stages.
6 11 APEX TOP (D136) No report.
7 1 MASTER OF LUCK (G276) Bumped heavily at the start by MULTIWIN. In the middle stages raced keenly.
8 9 YOO YOO KNIGHT (H053) Briefly held up passing the 400 Metres behind FIRE BALL.
9 13 NOBLE BOYZ (E156) No report.
10 10 FIRE BALL (D087) After the race, M F Poon stated that his mount was obliged to race three wide with cover throughout the event, but when he felt that there was something amiss with FIRE BALL over the concluding stages, he did not ride it out to the finish of the event. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings. Before being allowed to race again, FIRE BALL will be subjected to an official veterinary examination.
11 7 MULTIWIN (H023) Jumped awkwardly and shifted out. Then despite being ridden along in the early stages was unable to hold a more forward position.
12 6 GOOD BOY (H209) Passing the 1300 Metres raced tight to the inside of FIRE BALL which lay in despite the efforts of its rider and as a result GOOD BOY made contact with CURLING SPEED. Raced wide and without cover for the majority of the event. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
13 4 CURLING SPEED (H015) Jumped only fairly and then was crowded shortly after the start. Bumped passing the 1300 Metres. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
WV-A 5 CHARMING STEED (E494) After being placed into the barriers had its right front leg over the partition for a considerable period. Was examined by the Veterinary Officer who said the horse was not suitable to race. Acting on this advice, CHARMING STEED was withdrawn by order of the Stewards. Before being allowed to race again, CHARMING STEED will be required to perform satisfactorily in a barrier trial and be subjected to an official veterinary examination.
