1 7 SUPER HONG KONG (D241) K Teetan was fined $5,000 for using his whip in a manner where the hand holding the whip was above shoulder height on two occasions in the Home Straight. Sent for sampling post-race.
2 1 STORM RUNNER (J452) Sent for sampling post-race.
3 3 PERPETUAL POWER (J326) No report.
4 2 ROMANTIC FANTASY (H168) Shifted out shortly after the start and was bumped.
5 5 LEATHER MASTER (H034) No report.
6 4 WAH MAY WAI WAI (J193) Noted to have blood in the mouth on arrival at the Start. Was examined by the Veterinary Officer and passed suitable to race. Raced keenly in the early stages. Y L Chung reported that his instructions were to lead the event. He said his mount jumped awkwardly and as a result was slow to begin and was then hampered by MR ALADDIN which was taken out. He added as a consequence WAH MAY WAI WAI settled further back in the field than intended. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
7 6 MR ALADDIN (H386) Kicked a rail before entering the track. Was examined by the Veterinary Officer and passed suitable to race. Shortly after the start became unbalanced when bumped by ROMANTIC FANTASY which shifted out and away from LEATHER MASTER. H Bentley reported that in the Home Straight when placed under pressure his mount was one-paced and did not respond strongly to his riding. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
