9 1 BEAUTY JOY (E058) In the early stages got its head up and raced ungenerously.
10 9 RUBYLOT (H412) From the outside barrier was shifted across behind runners in the early stages. H Bowman stated that his mount failed to respond to his riding in the Home Straight and was disappointing. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
11 7 ENSUED (H452) No report.
12 2 CHANCHENG GLORY (H212) Leaving the 500 Metres was hampered when being steadied to avoid CAP FERRAT which was giving ground. C L Chau reported that the intention was to hold a more forward position but his mount was unable to do so despite his efforts. He said making the Home Turn CHANCHENG GLORY lost momentum when being steadied to avoid CAP FERRAT and did not respond to his riding thereafter.
PU 4 CAP FERRAT (K021) When questioned Z Purton stated that the intention was to hold a midfield position. He said in the early stages from barrier 12 he was caught wide when a number of runners to his inside held their position. He said when there was no opportunity to obtain cover he continued forward on CAP FERRAT to race outside the lead to avoid covering additional ground. He added that from the 600 Metres he became concerned there may be something amiss with his mount and for this reason making the Home Turn he retired it from the event. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race found that horse to have bled from both nostrils and also to be displaying an irregular heart rhythm. Before being allowed to race again, CAP FERRAT will be required to perform satisfactorily in a barrier trial and be subjected to an official veterinary examination. Sent for sampling post-race.
WV 13 CALIFORNIATOTALITY (H418) Withdrawn on raceday morning by order of the Stewards acting on veterinary advice (lame right fore). Before being allowed to race again, CALIFORNIATOTALITY will be subjected to an official veterinary examination.
