He added that as a result his mount finished the race off only fairly. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.

4 9 MR ALADDIN (H386) 9 K C Leung Jumped only fairly and made contact with the left side of its starting gate. From a wide barrier was then shifted across behind runners in the early stages.

After the event M F Poon reported that his mount commenced to weaken when under pressure in the Home Straight and when he was concerned there may be something amiss he did not ride it out to the finish when not in a competitive position. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race revealed that the horse was displaying an irregular heart rhythm. Before being allowed to race again, YEABOI will be required to perform satisfactorily in a barrier trial and be subjected to an official veterinary examination.

Approaching the 200 Metres attempted to obtain a narrow run between SMILING EMPEROR and QUANTUM PATCH where there was not quite sufficient room. When SMILING EMPEROR then shifted out approaching the 150 Metres TAKE ACTION was steadied when disappointed for clear running between SMILING EMPEROR and QUANTUM PATCH. As a consequence TAKE ACTION could not be ridden out over the final 200 Metres.

After the event L Ferraris stated that his mount settled back in the field and found it difficult to make up ground in the Home Straight which he attributed to the early stages of the race being run outside of standard time. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.

9 9 SUPER PACE (K349) 4 D Probert After the event D Probert advised that with his mount stepping up in distance tonight he was asked to take up a forward position. Trainer C Fownes confirmed the instructions issued. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
8 10 STORMI (K084) 9 C L Chau (-2) After the event C L Chau reported that his instructions were to endeavour to find cover. He said in the early stages he attempted to obtain a trailing position behind QUANTUM PATCH but when OUR LUCKY GLORY held its position to his inside he was unable to do so and this resulted in STORMI racing very wide and without cover for the majority of the event.
5 11 SMILING EMPEROR (J371) 3 H Bentley Near the 1000 Metres was steadied to avoid ATOMIC BEAUTY when racing keenly. A short distance later ATOMIC BEAUTY then shifted out, resulting in SMILING EMPEROR racing wide and without cover thereafter.

After the event C L Chau advised that his mount raced wide and without cover for the majority of the event and as a consequence gave ground in the Home Straight. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.

In the early stages raced keenly and for some distance near the 1000 Metres was steadied to avoid NEW POWER. Approaching the 150 Metres was eased and shifted to the inside of NEW POWER when NEW POWER and VULCANUS both shifted ground slightly.

5 6 VULCANUS (J150) 11 K C Leung From a wide barrier was shifted across behind runners in the early stages. Making the first turn near the 1000 Metres was steadied to avoid DAN ATTACK which shifted out and away from LOVING VIBES. Near the 550 Metres was steadied when crowded between CALIFORNIA DEEPLY and LOVING VIBES which lay out making the turn.
7 7 KNOW AT HEART (K108) 8 M Chadwick For some distance in the early stages raced tight between CALIFORNIA DEEPLY and MOTOMAN which shifted out to relieve the tightening to LOVING VIBES. Near the 1100 Metres KNOW AT HEART became unbalanced when crowded between CALIFORNIA DEEPLY which lay in despite the efforts of its rider and MOTOMAN which shifted out slightly.

For some distance after the 400 Metres was hampered when taken wider by CALIFORNIA DEEPLY which shifted out to improve. Near the 250 Metres SNOWTHORN then lay in and was steadied to avoid CALIFORNIA DEEPLY.

3 11 NEBRASKAN (J304) 2 K Teetan Making the first turn near the 1000 Metres commenced to race keenly when being crossed by SILVER SPURS. K Teetan was warned in relation to using his whip in a manner where the hand holding the whip was above shoulder height on two occasions near the 100 Metres.
4 12 DAN ATTACK (H317) 10 A Atzeni In the early stages raced ungenerously when being shifted behind runners from a wide barrier. Near the 1000 Metres became unbalanced when it shifted out and away from LOVING VIBES. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.

8 1 THE AZURE (J227) 10 H Bowman From a wide barrier was shifted across behind runners in the early stages. Making the Home Turn was held up for clear running behind TO INFINITY.
6 2 FORERUNNER (G465) 9 C L Chau (-2) When questioned regarding his riding C L Chau stated that from a wide barrier he had been instructed to endeavour to obtain a midfield position with cover. He said with the early stages of the event being run inside of standard time FORERUNNER settled towards the back of the field. When questioned regarding his riding on the Home Turn and as to whether there was an opportunity to improve to the outside of CELESTIAL PATCH sooner than what he did C L Chau stated that the instructions issued by Trainer W K Mo preferred the horse securing an inside run due to the rail being in the "C+3” position. He said with this in mind, when following CELESTIAL PATCH, he was of the opinion that from the 500 Metres that horse would shift out as it was under pressure and being ridden along. He added that when CELESTIAL PATCH did not shift out and SIMPLE HEDGE then moved out from the rail he was unable to secure an inside run into the Home Straight. He said after remaining behind CELESTIAL PATCH he then shifted FORERUNNER to the outside on entering the Home Straight where it finished the race off reasonably well. Mr Mo confirmed the instructions issued and expressed satisfaction with the manner in which Jockey Chau rode the horse. After considering his explanation the Stewards advised Jockey Chau that, in their opinion, he should have shifted to the outside of CELESTIAL PATCH sooner than what he did, particularly having regard to the fact that his mount was positioned towards the rear of the field on the Home Turn. He was further advised that in similar circumstances he should ride his mounts so as to leave no room for query.

12 6 VIGOR ELLEEGANT (J375) 2 Y L Chung (-2) After the event Y L Chung stated that with his mount stepping up in distance from the 1200 Metres to the 1650 Metres it raced keenly in the lead and refused to settle in the early stages. He added that as a consequence VIGOR ELLEEGANT ran inside of standard time in the early stages despite his efforts to set a more sustainable pace. He said having regard to the manner in which the horse raced in the early stages it weakened when placed under pressure in the Home Straight. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race found that horse to be a "roarer” which had previously been reported. The performance of VIGOR ELLEEGANT, which finished tailed out, was considered unacceptable. Before being allowed to race again, VIGOR ELLEEGANT will be required to perform to the satisfaction of the Stewards in a barrier trial and be subjected to an official veterinary examination.

After obtaining a position with cover behind MIGHTY STEED near the 1200 Metres SUPER SICARIO then raced keenly throughout the early and middle stages. Lay in under pressure in the Home Straight and for a short distance near the 150 Metres was awkwardly placed close to the heels of MIGHTY STEED which shifted out slightly.

Making the Home Turn near the 350 Metres became unbalanced when crowded between SERGEANT PEPPER which shifted out slightly and HAPPY UNITED which shifted in and away from LUCKY TWENTY after racing tight to the inside of that runner. Approaching the 200 Metres raced in restricted room between HAPPY UNITED and SERGEANT PEPPER which shifted out slightly.

Near the 350 Metres made contact with AMAZING KID and became unbalanced. When giving ground near the 200 Metres bumped with AMAZING KID. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race found that horse to have bled from both nostrils. Before being allowed to race again, HAPPY UNITED will be required to perform satisfactorily in a barrier trial and be subjected to an official veterinary examination.

Approaching the 100 Metres was struck across the nose by the whip of J Orman (LUCKY TWENTY).

Approaching the 600 Metres lay in and away from SUNNY SING SPIRIT and as a result was steadied to avoid HARMONY FIRE. Passing the 250 Metres lay in towards LUCKY TWENTY and then was steadied to avoid LUCKY TWENTY which shifted out slightly. After the event K Teetan reported that his mount would appreciate being stepped up in distance for its next race start. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
WV PLENTIFUL (G400) A Atzeni Withdrawn on 6.10.25 by order of the Stewards acting on veterinary advice (lame right fore) and replaced by Standby Declared Starter AMAZING KID. Before being allowed to race again, PLENTIFUL will be subjected to an official veterinary examination which must include additional diagnostic assessments.

5 3 STAR CONTACT (E472) 5 B Avdulla After being crossed by KEEN MOLLY near the 1500 Metres was then steadied to avoid KEEN MOLLY, resulting in STAR CONTACT making the first turn wider. STAR CONTACT was then allowed to stride forward near the 1200 Metres to avoid racing wide and without cover.
10 4 PRESTIGE GOOD (K131) 11 J Orman From the outside barrier was shifted across behind runners in the early stages. After the event J Orman stated that with the early and middle stages of the race being run inside of standard time his mount travelled only fairly at the rear of the field. He added that in the Home Straight PRESTIGE GOOD made some ground but, in his opinion, was not comfortable on the "Good to Firm” track conditions. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.

He added that when STAR CONTACT improved to his outside near the 1000 Metres this resulted in ANOTHER ZONDA continuing to race keenly and setting a faster early pace than he anticipated.

He said when BUNDLE OF CHARM commenced well he rode his mount along to ensure that he was able to cross runners to his inside. He added after obtaining the lead on the first turn he eased the pace to endeavour to comply with his instructions and have another horse cross his mount. He said however when no other runner showed the intent to lead BUNDLE OF CHARM was able to hold the lead at a comfortable pace.

After the event M F Poon reported that his mount was left without cover during the running of the race and this, in his opinion, was the principal reason for its disappointing performance. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
10 9 ROMANTIC SON (J537) 11 H Bentley Over the final 200 Metres was held up for clear running and could not be fully ridden out to the finish of the event. After the event H Bentley stated that from a wide barrier he was instructed to ride the horse in a conservative manner in the early stages.

7 12 MONARCH COUNTY (J421) 1 L Hewitson In the middle stages raced keenly and near the 800 Metres was steadied to avoid BUNDLE OF CHARM when being crossed by that runner. After the event L Hewitson reported that his mount raced keenly in the early and middle stages and finished the race off in a one-paced manner in the Home Straight. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings. Sent for sampling post-race.

When caught wide and without cover in the early stages was ridden forward and when unable to cross runners to its inside was obliged to remain racing wide and without cover for the majority of the event. Near the 200 Metres was bumped by STORMING DRAGON and as a result became unbalanced.

6 3 A AMERIC TE SPECSO (H037) 3 A Atzeni Jumped only fairly. Shortly after the start was then checked when crowded by STORMING DRAGON which shifted out abruptly despite the efforts of its rider. Near the 550 Metres was checked when momentarily crowded by MIGHTY COMMANDER which shifted in when being steadied to avoid STORMING DRAGON. Near the 100 Metres was steadied and shifted to the inside of SPORTS LEGEND to continue into clear running.
1 4 KYRUS DRAGON (H396) 1 K Teetan K Teetan pleaded guilty to a charge under Rule 100(3(ii)(a) in that he used the whip in consecutive strides on at least 12 occasions prior to the 100 Metres. After considering the relevant matters in respect of penalty which included the severity of the breach, a previous warning issued to Jockey Teetan regarding his whip hand being raised above shoulder height earlier during the meeting, the horse finishing in the first placing and also taking into consideration that the Rule was only introduced at the commencement of the season, he was issued with a two-meeting penalty. As a consequence Jockey Teetan was suspended from riding in races for a period to commence on Thursday, 30 October 2025 and to expire on Monday, 3 November 2025 on which day he may resume race riding (2 Hong Kong racedays). 7 6 SPORTS LEGEND (H456) 12 L Ferraris Shifted in shortly after the start and was bumped. After the event L Ferraris stated that he was obliged to make too much use of his mount in the early stages to take up the lead and this resulted in SPORTS LEGEND not being able to finish the race off in the Home Straight. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
10 7 YOUNG ARROW (J401) 11 A Badel On jumping was crowded between DRAGON FOUR SEAS and SPORTS LEGEND, both of which shifted ground slightly.
5 8 MIGHTY COMMANDER (J360) 8 E C W Wong (-5) From a wide barrier was shifted across behind runners in the early stages. Near the 550 Metres was steadied to avoid STORMING DRAGON. Near the 300 Metres was steadied and shifted to the outside of DRAGON FOUR SEAS to continue into clear running.
9 9 SUPER JOY N FUN (J164) 9 C L Chau (-2) When questioned regarding his riding C L Chau stated that his instructions from a wide barrier were to settle the horse where comfortable. He said in the early stages when caught wide and without cover he elected to restrain his mount in the Back Straight to ensure that he complied with his instructions to obtain cover. He added that this resulted in SUPER JOY N FUN being settled towards the rear of the field. When questioned regarding his riding making the Home Turn and in the early part of the Home Straight, particularly the vigour he used on SUPER JOY N FUN, C L Chau stated that after making the Home Turn he ensured his mount was balanced and encouraged SUPER JOY N FUN to change its lead leg. He said when SUPER JOY N FUN did not change its lead leg in the early part of the Home Straight he continued to encourage the horse to improve but did not apply full vigour until near the 200 Metres after which SUPER JOY N FUN finished the race off reasonably well. After considering the explanation the Stewards advised Jockey Chau that, in their opinion, he should have placed more pressure on his mount sooner than what he did to ensure that it obtained the best possible placing in the field. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.

1.

After the running of Race 1, the track classification was officially changed from "Good” to "Good to Firm”. This change in the opinion of the Stewards should be recorded as being retrospective. As a consequence of this, the official results will show Race 1 being run on a track rated "Good to Firm”.
