Racing Incident Report
Before being presented in the Parade Ring, BEAUTIFULDAY had its near side front plate refitted. RED COMMANDER, which was restless after being boxed, missed the start. Turning out of the Straight the first time, GREAT INTENT, which was proving difficult to settle, got its head up when awkward on the heels of CROWN REGENT. In the middle stages, GREAT INTENT continued to race ungenerously and threw its head up. Near the 600 Metres, CROWN REGENT was steadied when unable to hold its position on the inside of CASH FORTUNE. On straightening, GREAT INTENT was steadied and shifted in to find running. SWEET VICTORY and CROWN REGENT were sent for clinical veterinary examination and routine testing. After the race, the Veterinary Surgeon reported that EASY MONEY was lame in its near side hind leg. Before racing again, EASY MONEY will have to perform satisfactorily in an official barrier trial. In addition, the horse will be subject to an official veterinary examination.
