Racing Incident Report
I WIN was slowly away. CHARMING STRIDE missed the start, then was further inconvenienced by HANDSOME FORTUNE which on jumping shifted out abruptly. About the 1300 Metres, WE KNOW WHEN was steadied to avoid the heels of CHARMING STRIDE (S King) which shifted in when barely clear. S King was advised he must exercise more care. Near the 600 Metres, I WIN was steadied and shifted out to avoid WILFRED'S NEW PET which was giving ground, but was also inconvenienced by HANDSOME FORTUNE which was stopping. When I WIN shifted out, slight inconvenience was caused to STAR OF WAH YAN. Just after the 600 Metres, WE KNOW WHEN was steadied when momentarily crowded by CHARMING STRIDE which shifted in slightly when being steadied off the heels of I WIN. Near the 400 Metres, I WIN shifted out to obtain running and go forward, again slight inconvenience was caused to STAR OF WAH YAN. On returning to scale, W M Lai (STAR OF WAH YAN), 4th placegetter, sought permission to view the available video films as he was of the opinion there may have been grounds to lodge an objection against I WIN being declared 3rd. W M Lai, and Mr A T Millard, Trainer of STAR OF WAH YAN, viewed the video films and then decided it was inappropriate to proceed with an objection.
