Racing Incident Report

HARMONY PRINCE was withdrawn on 9.11.02 on veterinary grounds (right fore fetlock sprain) and was replaced by Standby Declared Starter SWAGGIE. Before HARMONY PRINCE can race again, it will be required to pass an official veterinary examination. SWAGGIE jumped very awkwardly, because of this lost ground. From a difficult gate, HIGHLIGHT was obliged to race wide and at no stage was able to find any cover. In the early and middle stages, UTMOST EASY pulled very hard, proved difficult to settle, on several occasions about the 1000 Metres threw its head about when awkwardly placed close to the heels of NAMJONG HEART. SMART HORSE, which was following UTMOST EASY, was hampered in consequence. Just after straightening, DECOUVERT was steadied and shifted out abruptly to find running. For some distance approaching and just after the 200 Metres, DESERT STRIKE was unable to obtain clear running between HIGHLIGHT and MEHBOOB THE THIRD. DESERT STRIKE was shifted out looking for a run, but after the 100 Metres was shifted in abruptly to find running. In the Straight, MAJESTIC WARRIOR hung in and proved somewhat difficult to ride out. MASTER MARAUDER and MEHBOOB THE THIRD were sent for sampling.
