Racing Incident Report

On jumping, LUCKY SABRE shifted out abruptly and bumped MY CHIEF which in turn shifted ground, making contact with MAGIC HANDS, carrying that horse out slightly. As a consequence of this, SUNSEEN lost its running between MAGIC HANDS and GREENMORE. The crowding in the opinion of the Stewards was accidental. From a difficult gate, DASHING WINNER was obliged to race wide, was not able to find any cover, pulled hard and gave ground over the concluding stages. F Coetzee (NATURAL WINNER) said at no stage of the race was the horse comfortable in tonight's track conditions. Apprentice S K Sit (SUNSEEN) said he had been instructed to ride somewhere about the 5th or 6th position if possible. He said SUNSEEN left the gates awkwardly with its head up, was then checked, because of this he got well back. He then said SUNSEEN proved very difficult for him to settle, pulled hard and several times threw its head about.
