Racing Incident Report
CORAJOSO left the gates awkwardly with its head up, shifted in and brushed TELECOM BABE, then raced ungenerously throughout and hung out. When the gates opened, WATCH ME WIN bounded in the air. From a gate towards the outside, TOP LIGHT was steadied on jumping and in doing so threw its head about, then was unable to find cover and raced wide. In the early stages, TELECOM BABE pulled hard, proved very difficult to settle and about the 1000 Metres got its head up and shifted ground when awkwardly placed close to the heels of SMILING FOREST. Near the 1000 Metres, STRONGHEART became unbalanced when close to the heels of WATCH ME WIN. Near the 400 Metres, STRONGHEART was steadied when disappointed for running between SMILING FOREST and CHEEKY. About the 200 Metres, TOP LIGHT, which was giving ground, was steadied when crowded between SMILING FOREST which was racing tight inside WINWIN COMBO and WATCH ME WIN which was taken out slightly by SOUTH CHINA NINETY. Also about the 200 Metres, STRONGHEART was checked when tightened between the hindquarters of SMILING FOREST and WINWIN COMBO (H K Yim) which shifted in whilst being ridden out. H K Yim was reprimanded and told in similar circumstances he must stop riding and straighten. Just after the 200 Metres, PREMIER SPEED, which was inclined to be racing with its head up, became unbalanced and dipped. CORAJOSO and PREMIER SPEED were sent for clinical veterinary examination and testing.
