Racing Incident Report

GREENMORE left the gates awkwardly. Just after the start, KEEN WINNER was steadied when crowded between ZIETENGO BOY and CARACOLER which was taken in by RIVER CENTAINE. Near the 200 Metres, W M Lai (V-CAN) dropped his whip. R Quinn (IDOL) said he had been instructed by Trainer S Woods from a good gate to ride the horse in front or certainly on the speed whilst he acknowledged there was some pace in the race. He said IDOL was slowly away, he then rode along in an endeavour to go forward, could not do so and settled down on the rail but towards the middle. He said near the 800 Metres his saddle started to shift back, progressively worsened, rounding the turn shifted back badly to the left hand side, because of this he was unbalanced and spent some time trying to re-position the saddle which to some extent he was able to do. The explanations submitted by R Quinn were accepted. COME SEE YOU, REBEL LEADER and CELLINI were sent for sampling.
