Racing Incident Report
TOP HEALTH was withdrawn on 15.5.04 on veterinary grounds (infection to the right fore leg) and was replaced by Standby Declared Starter PLEASURE PLEASURE. Before being allowed to race again, TOP HEALTH will be subjected to an official veterinary examination. CHOICE AND CHANCE began very awkwardly, bumped the inside gate of its stall and lost a significant amount of ground at the start. WIN DANCER and SHARKI were slow to begin. PLEASURE PLEASURE began awkwardly, shifted out and then was checked to avoid the heels of FLYING EAGLE which shifted in after initially shifting out on jumping and making contact with TABBRIS. ISLAND SPIRIT, which was standing badly, began awkwardly, lost ground at the start and consequently raced near the rear. Making the turn at the 800 Metres, WIN DANCER was crowded for room inside CAPITAL GAIN which was racing tight inside SHARKI. Near the 700 Metres, CAPITAL GAIN was checked when crowded for room outside HAPI HAPI which shifted out to avoid the heels of FLYING EAGLE which got its head up when being steadied away from the heels of MULTI MILLIONS which itself steadied after reaching the lead. For a considerable distance after the 400 Metres, HAPI HAPI was held up and unable to improve between TABBRIS and UPPA HAND. After the 300 Metres, UPPA HAND got its head on the side and shifted out abruptly towards TABBRIS. Because of this, R Fradd, its rider, stopped riding and straightened his mount. After this, UPPA HAND was inclined to continue laying out and near the 100 Metres was steadied when crowded for room between FLYING EAGLE and SHARKI which shifted in slightly. Over the concluding stages, CAPITAL GAIN hung in and near the 200 Metres A Delpech, its rider, dropped his right rein. Throughout the race, TABBRIS hung in. SHARKI and FLYING EAGLE were sent for sampling.
