Racing Incident Report

FORTUNE PATROL shifted out at the start and made contact with the hindquarters of FORTUNE TRIPLE, resulting in FORTUNE TRIPLE becoming unbalanced.
WONDER YEARS was slow to begin and shortly after was bumped by SIMPLE DOCTRINE which jumped awkwardly and shifted in.
From wide barriers, JOLLY FOREVER and OWNERS’ STAR were shifted across behind runners in the early stages.
Making the first turn near the 2000 Metres, SIMPLE DOCTRINE commenced to race keenly and was steadied away from the heels of LOYAL AMBITION. SIMPLE DOCTRINE then continued to race keenly in the early stages.
JUBILATION raced wide and without cover in the early stages before being allowed to stride forward and settle outside the lead passing the winning post on the first occasion.
Near the 1100 Metres, JOLLY FOREVER raced in restricted room between OWNERS’ STAR which shifted out slightly and WONDER YEARS.
Near the 1000 Metres, SKY GEM commenced a forward move and as a result was obliged to race wide and without cover from that point.
Approaching the 1000 Metres, WONDER YEARS also commenced a forward move and as a result was obliged to race wide and without cover from that point on.
Rounding the Home Turn, FORTUNE TRIPLE became held up on the heels of SKY GEM when that runner commenced to give ground. FORTUNE TRIPLE was then shifted to the outside of SKY GEM and then became awkwardly placed behind LOYAL AMBITION for a short distance thereafter.
OWNERS’ STAR was briefly held up on the Home Turn and near the 250 Metres was directed to the inside of WAH MAY LUCK to continue into clear running.
A veterinary inspection of SKY GEM, BARON ZEE and JOLLY FOREVER immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
WONDER YEARS and CABLE SPEED were sent for sampling.
