Racing Incident Report

Pla. Horse No. Horse Incident
1 4 SKY JEWELLERY (K032) On jumping shifted in abruptly and shortly after the start was bumped and became unbalanced. Approaching the 200 Metres was briefly held up for clear running when attempting a narrow run between SMART FIGHTER and SEA SAPPHIRE which shifted in slightly. Sent for sampling post-race.
2 11 VIGOR ELLEEGANT (J375) In the middle stages raced keenly and got its head up when being steadied away from SILVER SPURS. Sent for sampling post-race.
3 8 SILVER SPURS (J043) Shifted out at the start and was bumped. After the event, A Badel stated that his mount jumped well and show good pace in the early stages and as a result was able to cross to the lead approaching the first turn.
4 3 TELECOM DRAGON (H322) From the outside barrier was shifted across behind runners in the early stages. Lay in in the Home Straight.
5 12 ALMIGHTY KICK (J254) Jumped only fairly and then was checked shortly after by SKY JEWELLERY which shifted in abruptly.
6 2 OWNERS' PRAISE (H047) No report.
7 10 GLORY B (H373) Jumped only fairly and then was bumped by SILVER SPURS which shifted out. Raced wide and without cover for the majority of the event.
8 1 SMART FIGHTER (H278) After the event, L Ferraris stated that his mount enjoyed a good run during the race but was unable to finish the race off strongly over the concluding stages. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
9 9 GIMME FIVE (J099) After travelling a short distance was crowded for room between SKY JEWELLERY and GOOD PROSPECT which was taken out by OWNERS’ PRAISE.
10 5 TRAVEL GOLF (H063) From a wide barrier was shifted across behind runners in the early stages.
11 6 GOOD PROSPECT (J406) Crowded shortly after the start. After the event, C L Chau reported that his mount raced keenly in the early and middle stages.
12 7 SEA SAPPHIRE (H343) After the event, B Thompson stated that his mount travelled satisfactorily in the early stages but failed to respond to his riding when placed under pressure in the Home Straight. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race which included an endoscopic examination showed a substantial amount of mucus in the horse’s trachea.
