2 13 ARMOUR WAR EAGLE (J039) Jumped only fairly and was shifted across behind runners in the early stages. For a short distance near the 400 Metres had difficulty obtaining clear running. Sent for sampling post-race.
3 9 VICTORY SKY (J540) Between the 450 Metres and the 350 Metres was held up for clear running when being shifted to the outside of JUNEAU PRIDE.
4 4 STORM RIDER (J027) Jumped awkwardly.
5 5 JOY OF SPRING (H383) No report.
6 3 PATCH OF COSMO (J357) Jumped only fairly. Near the 200 Metres shifted out and made contact with MR ENERGIA when improving to the outside of ANOTHER ZONDA. After the event, M Chadwick could offer no explanation for his mount’s disappointing performance. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
7 10 ANOTHER ZONDA (K176) No report.
8 2 KEEFY (G306) No report.
9 11 BUCEPHALAS (K096) After the event, H T Mo reported that his mount raced keenly in the lead and as a result was left without a finishing effort in the Home Straight. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
10 12 THE ABSOLUTE (H438) From a wide barrier was shifted across behind runners in the early stages.
11 14 MR ENERGIA (J239) After the 200 Metres was bumped by PATCH OF COSMO and taken wider. After the event, K Teetan stated that his mount was awkwardly placed to the inside of PATCH OF COSMO making the Home Turn but failed to respond to his riding in the Home Straight. He added from the 200 Metres he was concerned that there may be something amiss with his mount and as a result he did not fully ride it out to the finish of the event. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings. The performance of MR ENERGIA was considered disappointing as compared to its previous race starts. Before being allowed to race again, MR ENERGIA will be required to perform to the satisfaction of the Stewards in a barrier trial and be subjected to an official veterinary examination.
12 7 YIU CHEUNG VICTORY (J529) From the outside barrier was shifted across behind runners in the early stages.
13 6 SUNNYVALE (K036) No report.
14 1 LUCK IS BACK (J398) Raced wide and without cover for the majority of the event.
