3 2 DO YOUR PART (J444) Began only fairly. Sent for sampling post-race.
4 3 ABSOLUTE AWAKENED (K039) From the outside barrier was shifted across behind runners in the early stages.
5 14 SPANGLE FORTUNE (G427) Passing the 100 Metres was eased to avoid THE HEIR (C Y Ho) which shifted in. C Y Ho was advised to exercise more care. Raced wide and without cover for the majority of the event.
6 12 SIGHT DREAMER (J542) No report.
7 10 BULL ATTITUDE (K305) Shifted in at the start and made contact with THE HEIR. A short distance later again bumped with THE HEIR.
8 1 CALIFORNIA BAY (K364) No report.
9 5 ONE AND ONLY (K273) A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
10 7 CARRYON SMILING (J392) Jumped only fairly.
11 9 YIU CHEUNG VICTORY (J529) Bumped on jumping.
12 11 LUCKY MAN (J315) Shifted in at the start and bumped YIU CHEUNG VICTORY. After the event L Ferraris stated that the instructions were to hold an on-pace position. He said he was able to cross to race outside DO YOUR PART in the early stages but in the Home Straight his mount did not finish the race off which he attributed to the early stages of the event being run inside of standard time. Trainer D A Hayes confirmed that he had given Jockey Ferraris the option of holding an on-pace position. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings. The performance of LUCKY MAN was considered disappointing as compared to its previous race starts. Before being allowed to race again, LUCKY MAN will be required to perform to the satisfaction of the Stewards in a barrier trial and be subjected to an official veterinary examination.
13 4 SUNSET TRAIL (K420) Near the 300 Metres, when commencing to give ground, was steadied to avoid SIGHT DREAMER (A Atzeni) which shifted out to improve. A Atzeni was advised to exercise more care. After the event Z Purton stated that his mount raced greenly due to inexperience and was unable to finish the race off in the Home Straight. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
14 8 CASA RUBICK (K299) Jumped only fairly. After the event Apprentice E C W Wong stated that his mount failed to travel throughout the race and when he became concerned with its action making the Home Turn he eased it down from the event. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings. The performance of CASA RUBICK, which finished tailed out, was considered unacceptable. Before being allowed to race again, CASA RUBICK will be required to perform to the satisfaction of the Stewards in a barrier trial and be subjected to an official veterinary examination which must include additional diagnostic assessments.
